But the direct VR option in Vorpx seemed even more taxing on the system and the brain. At the same time, just running it flat in Vorpx immersive screen at 4k (probably overkill) was also cool with 90 fps most of the time and less nauseating. In other areas, at least in Vorpx, the game ran at up to 1440p in geometry 3d at around 30-45 fps with 98% gpu usage. There was an area towards the end of the game where with Vorpx there was some unbearable shimmering on some large structures while with Helixvision it was more like a couple of sparkles here and there - with all settings on low and 1080p. It wouldn't launch right away with crashes but adding the anti-cheat disable hack (mentioned on the HelixMod page) to the anti-cheat folder and launching everything from inside steam VR (with Quest 2 using link) seems to have done the trick.Ĭompared to one of the unofficial profiles for Vorpx immersive screen (derlifter I think it was), the 3d was the difference between night and day. Just played Halo Reach with the HelixMod fix after a couple of hours of tinkering as a noob to Helixvision (but not to 3dvision, HelixMod, Vorpx and Tridef).
